Today I’m taking you on a brief detour back to Iceland — more specifically to Reykjavik, the small but charming capital of this fascinating island. Last summer I had the opportunity to take a series of photographs there for my long-term project Urban Refractions. The project explores the spaces that open up at the boundary between reflection and (semi-)transparency, if you only look closely enough. For a project like this, the monumental concert hall Harpa is an absolute must, so it comes as no surprise that the majority of the photos were taken there. It might therefore be worth putting on a little music while you immerse yourself in the following images. With that said — enjoy Reykjavik Refractions.
