This post contains a series of photographs taken on a morning walk in the local park of the town of Gladbeck, Germany. I have been there several times before, and I find it fascinating that some places keep giving images without end regardless of how often you go there. These scenes from the park in selection were taken in May and in July, although it doesn’t show visually. To me, black-and-white photographs have a tendency to take the scene out of the flow of time, to make them timeless to some degree.
The photographs are presented without further information except for the title and the location. No explanations, no talking. Just enough silence to allow for silent conversations between you and the image. What story does it tell you? Which emotions does it convey? Does it mean something to you? Why? Feel free to ask each photo and listen to its answers. They surely have some fascinating stories to tell.
For truly silent conversations, I encourage you to click on the photos for a larger view in an almost distraction-free lightbox. Prints are available on request.
